The set looks white…too white. The unnatural look gives him a malicious smile that has been used in many different movies that we know and love, like Django Unchained or Ant-Man.
So, are his teeth real? No. What’s the story behind them? Read on to find out!
Who Is Walton Goggins?
Before we get into the story behind Walton Goggins’ teeth, you should know who he is outside of the evil characters he has played.
Walton Goggins is an actor from Alabama, born on November 10th of 1971. He’s mainly known for his roles in Fatman and The Hateful Eight. He has, however, appeared in several movies since 1990. He has around 70 acting credits on both big and small screen films.

So what bore that evil smile? A series of unfortunate events—explained Walton Goggins in an interview on Conan.
When he was in the fifth grade, Goggins enjoyed playing baseball with his friends. One day, during training, Goggins was punished and forced to run laps around the field.
Mid-run, someone had called for 10-year-old Goggins. As he turned around, he was startled to feel a baseball smash off his two front teeth. Goggins was rushed to the hospital by his mother and her boyfriend, teeth in hand.
Luckily, the doctor was able to surgically attach his teeth back to the roots, or as Goggins put it, he “jammed” his teeth back into his mouth.
The procedure was expectedly painful because he wasn’t put under any sort of anesthesia. Nevertheless, Goggins was lucky enough to not lose his teeth at that time.
However, Goggins’ luck ran out the second time. Around a year and a half later, Goggins had jumped into a pool—not knowing he was aiming for the shallow end. His front teeth got the worst of it when they fell out again.
This time, the doctor could not reattach them. Most people are afraid of losing their teeth because the condition of a person’s teeth has a significant impact on their appearance.
Goggins was able to make it work by replacing them. Even though he was able to replace them and live a successful life despite losing his teeth, the story serves as an important reminder to pay extra attention to keeping them safe.
Losing your teeth can be painful and bring out insecurities you never knew even existed. That is, taking care of them should be a top priority!
Moreover, the way Goggins made the best out of a bad situation by profiting off of his smile shows us that you really can make a huge difference by seeing that glass half full.
It goes to show that you can make lemonade out of lemons in most situations—even the bad ones!
