Who Is David Bromstad? A Brief Overview
Born on the 17th of August, 1973, David Bromstad is a feisty Leo who became a renowned interior designer and a beloved American TV personality.
His love for design started early, which isn’t hard to believe. From a young age, he dreamed of working as an illustrator with Disney. We’re happy to report that he managed to realize that dream!
Bromstad attended Ringling College of Art and Design (a private school in Sarasota, Florida), where many attendees are picked to work with Disney—provided they’re talented enough.
David happened to be one of those people! He obtained his degree in illustration and went to work with Disney immediately. His talents and drive were too considerable for Disney, though he later reported that the company left him dissatisfied.
Also, the Mickey Mouse company hired him as a visual designer of stores where his peers asked him to move boxes and do other menial work. So, of course, he was dissatisfied, and after only six months of working there, he was placed on leave.
However, his boss realized his talents and hated seeing an artist of his caliber discouraged. As such, he offered David’s talents to the Parks Production company. The latter is the visionary behind Walt Disney World’s storybook window displays.
David adored this job as it gave his talent a place to roar. He’d later start his own production company (David Bromstad LLC.) and host multiple TV shows. Those include My Lottery Dream Home, Color Splash, and Beach Flip.
Who Are David Bromstad’s Parents?
David Bromstad hails from a big family of six. His parents, Diane Marlys Bromstad (née Krueger) and Richard Harold David Bromstad, have always supported his dreams.
His father was the one to pay for and get him into Ringling College so that he could achieve his little boy’s dream of working with Disney.
That cute story aside, did you know that David’s mother is of German-Swedish descent while his father is Norwegian? Some people thus assume that Bromstad is of mixed ethnicity.
And here’s a fun fact: While Bromstad’s parents are his most prominent supporters, they disapproved of him getting any tattoos! They even threatened to cut his funding if he did.
However, Bromstad had always adored tattoos, claiming that “Tattoos are a beautiful, brilliant way of expressing yourself. I’m a blank canvas that needs to be filled!”
Coming from a conservative Christian family, it took a while for his parents to go around. You can see that even though they initially disapproved, it didn’t stop Bromstad from getting much of his body tattooed. See him show them off in this Instagram post!
Who Are David Bromstad’s Siblings?
David Bromstad has three older siblings, making him the youngest. His brother, the eldest of the four siblings, is Dean Richard Bromstad. After him came two beautiful girls, Bromstad’s sisters, Danielle Renee Bromstad and Dyonne Rachael Bromstad, respectively.
Bromstad’s siblings—well, his whole family—have constantly been a cornerstone of his life. He regularly posts Instagram pictures of him fooling around with his sisters or hanging out with his whole family.
Despite his openness with them on Instagram, David Bromstad has still managed to keep much of his siblings’ information private. We’ve gathered what we could below.
Dean Richard Bromstad
Dean would be David Bromstad’s eldest brother—the one everybody assumes is his twin brother. That’s not true, however, as we don’t even know what Dean looks like!
Dean Bromstad dislikes showing his face on his little brother’s Instagram. We know both brothers are close to the point where many assume they’re twins.
Some sources claim that Dean works at POPP Communications, for instance, where he provides cloud and internet services to mobile users. Further info about Dean’s marital status, DoB (date of birth), height…etc. It isn’t known to the public.
Dynelle Renee Bromstad
Dynelle is the second of Richard and Diane’s children. We don’t know much about her either.
We know that she could be the sister with whom David started a design company, Dragonfly Designs. This company meant so much to him that his first tattoo was of a dragonfly!
Dyonne Rachael Bromstad
Dyonne is perhaps the closest of all siblings to David Bromstad—probably because she was born right before him, so the age difference is likely not that big. That said, we don’t know how old she is precisely to know if this is true.
Her being super close to David is a given fact, however! The sister has predominantly appeared in many of David’s TV shows, including Color Splash Miami and My Lottery Dream Home.
